IWOBI IN A NUTSHELL

The Nigeria international looks surplus to requirements at everton after failing to live up to his price tag. Iwobi was signed for £34m from arsenal last summer. A return of just 1 goal in 25 appearances in the premier league is just not good enough and more was expected from the former arsenal man. At times he has been completely excluded from the match day squad and it increasingly look like his future lies away from Everton.

James Rodriguez was added this summer and that further pushes iwobi down the pecking order. However, iwobi is still only 24 and under the right management and support he would thrive so it'll be harsh to write him off at this point of his career. There haven't been any talks or reports on him leaving this summer though which is surprising considering his situation at the club but i would suggest he finds a new club or league that suits him.

If Dortmund were to sell Sancho to Manchester united his agent should be saying to Dortmund "hey look, my client would perform brilliantly with you guys". Dortmund have a good track record of developing young players with the profile of Iwobi and will be a good fit for him. The problem with Iwobi is that he doesn't do the basic things which is scoring and creating scoring opportunities and if he doesn't improve on that aspect of his game, he would find himself second fiddle.

THIAGO SET TO JOIN LIVERPOOL FOR £27M

The reds have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich to sign thiago for £27m. The Spanish midfielder told Bayern he wasn't renewing his contract with a year remaining. The 29 year old won the champions league having starred for Bayern Munich and was named in the competition's team of the year. He has won it all with Bayern and is looking for a fresh start. There were talks of Barcelona resigning him and Manchester united were interested but it seems Liverpool have finally gotten their man or klopp rather as he was the one who pushed to make the deal materialize. With wijnaldum reported to join Barcelona and a potential clear-out of some fringe players that creates space for thiago in the team. He is going to bring something different to this Liverpool side in terms of creativity in midfield adding a new dimension to their style of play. Arnold and Robertson are the team's sole source of creativity and amazingly are fullbacks but with thiago they have someone who can also create from midfield. Klopp would be relieved Liverpool got him after missing out on werner who joined Chelsea.

Liverpool face Chelsea this weekend as they hope to defend their premier league crown this season.

AUBAMEYANG PENS NEW 3 YEAR DEAL TO COMMIT FUTURE TO ARSENAL

The gabon international has ended speculation concerning his future by signing a new 3 year contract with arsenal. Sign da ting! the slang used by arsenal fans to persuade the striker to commit to the club and after months of speculation he signed da ting. We were able to connect to Arsenal's live video this evening and saw aubameyang live where he said a few things to the fans and the ever buzzing Ian wright and lacazette also had few words with him. According to popular italian sports journalist and reporter Fabrizio Romano, aubameyang rejected two bids to remain at arsenal. Aubameyang said, "people are saying 'sign da ting', its finally done. i'm very happy".

Aubameyang on contract renewal: "signing for this special club was never in doubt. I believe in Arsenal. We can achieve big things together. We have something exciting here and i believe the best is yet to come for Arsenal".

Arteta on aubameyang signing a new contract: He's an important leader for the team and a big part of what we're building. He wants to be up there with the best players in the world and leave his mark. He can achieve that here.

During aubameyang's time in England, he has been arguably the best striker in the league and this further improves arsenal chances of winning a trophy after securing his future. The good thing about this is that it is aubameyang's last big contract at 31 and for him to commit to arsenal means he believes in the project presented by Arteta and maybe reinforcements will come in.
72 goals in 111 games and it looks like he's heading for a legendary status at arsenal. Be happy gunners big things to come.

MANCITY LOOKING AT EVANS AND SOYUNCU

The premier league champions are said to be considering the duo along with a number of other options according to reports.

Leicester have the best defensive record in the league so it's no surprise their defenders who have been instrumental are wanted. City failure to sign a center back have come back to haunt them.

Their former captain and defensive rock kompany left at the end of last season and there has been an obvious void left to be filled. City are 4th after 12 games and are 9 points behind current table toppers Liverpool. City themselves saw a number of bids for Evans turned down before he eventually joined Leicester. They also saw Maguire slip from their hands having not submitting a bid for the English defender and he eventually joined rivals united.

Since losing Laporte to injury, the Backline has been shaky. Guardiola has initially said the club won't go looking for defenders in January but with recent showings they do need to get a top defender if they are to retain the championship by the end of may.
